How to get there:

By Bus: From Rayleigh or Hockley you can take bus nos. 7, 7a, or 8a to the top of Bullwood Hall Lane.

By Train: From London Liverpool Street take the Southend line to either Rayleigh or Hockley (approx. one hour journey). Then take a bus or a taxi to the prison.

By Car: Leave the M25 and join the A127 to Southend, follow this road to Rayleigh Weir roundabout and take the first exit to Rayleigh. Continue through the town centre to Hockley. On entering Hockley the entrance is concealed by a high hedge on the right hand side approx. 200 yards past the top of the hill.
