How to get there:

Near Eastchurch on the Isle of Sheppey. On the site of a former RAF airbase, it shares the site with Swaleside and Standford Hill prisons.

By Train: From Sittingbourne take a train to Sheerness (there are three trains per hour), then take a bus to the prison (there is one bus per hour).

By Car: Follow A249 signposted to Sittingbourne and Sheerness over bridge onto Isle of Sheppy. After two miles turn right at roundabout to Minster & Eastchurch; continue 4 miles to the 2nd roundabout; turn right and continue a short distance to next roundabout; turn right and continue down road over 5 traffic calmers. Elmley prison is at the end of the road on the left. There is ample car parking space available.
